Modern Modular Knitting

Guest Instructor Jennifer Susannah Miller, M.A. from Theodora's Pearls!

Updates on the modular knitting of the 80s and 90s! Mitered squares, hexagons, rectangles, shells, and more, with application to hats, wraps, and garments.

Modular knitting is a bit like a game: you create designs in the same way you'd work a jigsaw puzzle--piece by piece. Start by completing one square, cube, or diamond, and then build on that by knitting additional basic figures and forms.

Jennifer is a nationally sought after popular knitting instructor who teaches and lectures on creativity, working with colors, knitting design, lacework, and more. She is dedicated to promoting creative confidence in every knitter, enhancing knitting skills, and encouraging new and innovative experimentation in yarn! Her teaching is focused on accessing the creativity that we all hold. A self-taught artist, sourcing inspiration largely from the natural world, she shares her own creative journey as an example of how we all can express ourselves through beauty, harmony, and functionality.g knitting skills, and encouraging new and innovative experimentation in yarn!
