Students will be introduced to common crochet tools and their uses as well as basic pattern reading. They will learn the starter chain, single crochet, double crochet and half-double crochet. They will practice finishing techniques and how to develop consistent tension. Students will be shown tricks to avoid common errors and how to fix them.

Learn how to place beads in your knitting to adorn your projects with some extra sparkles of color. You'll also get to add some basic lace stitches to your repertoire in this fun one day class! Wrap yourself in Pure Joy with this beautiful shawl from designer Joji Locatelli. While knitting this fabulous garter-stitch project, you will learn how to create a garter tab, create wedge shapes utilizing short rows, and how to knit my favorite elastic bind-off. We will discuss different short-row techniques. The pattern is included in the cost of the class and will be provided on the first day.
The Help Desk is a drop-in workshop where you can bring a project of your choice and our instructor will be available to guide you, answer questions, and help you fix mistakes. You will join other students who are at different levels so you can learn from them as well. You never know where you will find inspiration!
Knitting is a fun, relaxing, and social activity and it’s not as hard as you might think! During your private lessons our instructors start with the basics and guide you through your first project. Learn to knit, purl, cast-on, bind-off, increase, decrease, and much more!

Class Policy: Class fees must be paid in advance to reserve your space. Class materials must be purchased at the shop. Teachers reserve the right to cancel a class with less than three sign-ups.
