1. How do I obtain visa to travel to Nepal?

2. What is the weather in Nepal all year around?

Nepal has diverse climates ranging from tropical to alpine climates., with four different seasons as follows:

•  Spring (March – May): The temperature is mildly warm in low areas and moderate in higher altitudes, with clear views of The Himalayan mountain ranges. It is also when the national flower of Nepal, the beautiful rhododendrons, cover the ascending altitudes with its magnanimous color and beauty..
•  Summer (June – August): During summer or the monsoon season, the weather is hot and it rains almost every day with occasional thunderstorms in the evening. 
•  Autumn (September – November): Autumn is the perfect season for tourists, providing highest visibility of the mountains. It is the peak season for trekking as mountain views are guaranteed. This is also the season of festivities as Nepal celebrates the biggest Hindu festivals Dashain and Tihar.
•  Winter (December – February): The weather is cool and the sky is clear with occasional snowfalls at higher elevations. This season is good for trekking at lower elevations. Mornings and nights are rather cold, while the days are warm when sunny.

3. Do I need vaccinations? Is there any outbreak of diseases?

No, there is currently no outbreaks in Nepal.

4. Will you arrange transportation from the airport?

Yes. When you arrive at the airport, just look out for your name on a board held by an Alpine Club of Himalaya representative. 

5. What kind of accommodations do you provide?

We use 3-star to 5-star hotels based on your custom packages. However, for fixed departure group tours, we use three star hotels when staying in cities. When trekking, we use simple but clean accommodations known as tea houses.

Tea Houses in trekking areas will provide you with blankets, but it is recommended to take your own sleeping bags, especially during the cold season (Oct-Dec). You can either buy a sleeping bag here in Kathmandu or hire one from us for the trekking duration.

Please note all accommodations are on a twin sharing basis unless requested otherwise.

7. Can I reserve a trip first and make payments when I arrive?

Yes, it’s possible. However to confirm your trip and ensure all necessary arrangements are made before you arrive, you must pay a deposit of 30% of the total cost. You may pay the rest when you arrive in Kathmandu.

9. Are the trip departures guaranteed?

All confirmed trips have guaranteed departures, except during unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, protests etc. that are beyond our control or anticipation.
